NewsBoard: What is it?
The NewsBoard is an experimental mixture of the traditional Usenet and the traditional web forums. Just as Usenet readers, you will have to download it to your local PC and install it.Why on a PERL site ?
The reason why NewsBoard is introduced on StepWeb, is because (it's an experimental software and) it interacts with the server by using Perl.
NewsBoard is a totally FREE Windows application. We are planning to offer this software at no cost forever, and it will always be worked on to give a nicer look.
